The Boston Red Sox' 2015 season may be over, but we learned last week that manager John Farrell would be coming back in 2016 and Torey Lovullo would resume his duties as bench coach.
Greg Dickerson says it was going to be an awkward situation no matter who the Red Sox named as manager.
"They're in a no-win situation. They lose no matter what," said Dickerson. "They keep him, everybody says, 'well, he's not Dombrowski's guy. They look like a bunch of fools. If they fire him they look bad, 'how can you fire a guy that just dealt with surviving cancer?' They can't win in this one, sorry."
