Here's when David Price will return to the Red Sox rotation

David Price will return this weekend from the wrist injury that has kept him on the injured list since Aug. 8.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora revealed before Wednesday night's game that Price, who had a cyst on his left wrist, will start on Sunday vs. the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim. The southpaw threw a three-inning simulated game in Denver on Tuesday.

Price's return should provide a much-needed boost to the rotation as spot-starter Brian Johnson has struggled mightily in his place. The Red Sox need all the help they can get as they sit six games out in the American League wild-card race.

Cora said once Price returns, Johnson will pitch out of the bullpen for the rest of the season.
