Live stream: Here's where to watch Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, Game 3 of World Series

Share

If this is going to be a competitive World Series -- early returns aren't encouraging -- then the Los Angeles Dodgers would almost have to win tonight, wouldn't you think? Only one team in the history of baseball has ever won a best-of-seven postseason series after losing the first three games (and we're sure we don't have to tell you who that was),  so the pressure's squarely on L.A. as the Dodgers and Boston Red Sox face off in Game 3 of the 2018 World Series tonight at Dodger Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 8:09 p.m.

TONIGHT'S PITCHING MATCHUP

Rick Porcello (1-0, 4.22 so far in the postseason) will face Dodger right-hander Walker Buehler (0-1, 5.40).  This is Porcello's chance to prove if his statement about just how much he wants to win a ring was just talk.

STOP, THIEF!

As there weren't enough reasons to hate Manny Machado: Now the Red Sox say he's stealing signs, too. To be fair to the dastardly Manny, though, he ain't the only one. (And the Sox are hardly squeaky clean themselves.)

CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT WE'RE SEEING

Evan Drellich's take on the Red Sox this postseason?  "Unreal. They're so freakin' good. Their talents are almost universally shining through. Not only that, but they just don’t seem to have any bad breaks. Baseball usually has a way of knocking you off your pedestal, be it a bloop for the opposition or some other quirk. The Sox, loaded and primed, are in the midst of an incredible run." Click here for more thoughts from Evan on the upcoming few days.

M-V-P (THAT'S PERSON, NOT PLAYER)

The feel-good story of the World Series -- hell, of the season -- centers around Mookie Betts. It's more than worth the click.
