Never before has there been an MLB postseason like the one that's about to unfold over the next month.
Not only have 16 teams advanced to the playoffs following a truncated 60-game regular season thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the format is entirely different.
Forget about the 1-game Wild Card games we've seen in past years. Instead, all teams will begin with a best-of-three Wild Card Series, followed by a best-of-five Division Series and a best-of-seven League Championship Series.

While the first round will take place at the higher seed's home ballpark, the final three rounds will be played at a neutral site park. For the Division Series, the American League will play in San Diego and Los Angeles, with the National League in Texas and Houston. The ALCS will be played at Petco Park in San Diego, and the NLCS and World Series will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
