Red Sox to host first-ever sleepover at Fenway Park

Just can't get enough of Fenway Park? Is a four-hour Red Sox-Yankees game about 12 hours sooner than you'd like to leave?

Well, you're in luck.

What if we told you that once the Red Sox game ends and the 30,000-plus fans along with everybody else who works at Fenway Park leave the stadium, you and a friend get to stay.

The whole night . . .

Sleepover!

That's right, the Red Sox are having a sleepover, and you're invited - if you win the competition, that is.

The Sox, Curt Schilling, and Airbnb are teaming up to give one fan and his or her guest a sleepover of their dreams on Sept. 2.

The sleepover, according to Airbnb's listing, includes VIP tickets to the last Sox-Yankees home game of the season, custom jerseys ("Just" & "Married"?!), a tour (and game of catch) with Schilling, $500 to spend on gear, a meet-and-greet with Luis Tiant, and a view of the game from inside the Green Monster during the first inning.

Then Tiant will swing back around once you're back in your suite and hang out for a few innings. You'll also get dinner on the right-field deck, and in the morning, Fenway is making waffles - breakfast on the Green Monster and a few swings in the batting cages.

"Sleeping over at Fenway Park and experiencing it like no one ever has will be a memory our Airbnb guests won't forget," said Schilling in a press release. "I'm excited to share my memories of the World Series Championship games played at Fenway, and relive all of the special moments I had here.”

They say a meaningless baseball game in September is enough to put you to sleep. For two lucky fans, that's not an issue. In fact, it's now encouraged.
