Former Red Sox pitcher and current ESPN baseball analyst Curt Schilling is in some hot water for a tweet - since deleted - comparing Muslims to Nazis.
The tweet was a picture of Hitler with graphics over it that read: "It's said only 5-10% of Muslims are extremists. In 1940, only 7% of German were Nazis. How'd that go?"
Schilling tweeted along with the picture, "The math is staggering when you get to true #'s."
The outspoken Schilling has avoided punishment from his employer in the past, but this time he wooldn't skate by.
ESPN announced that Schilling would be taken off his Little League World Series coverage.
The comment from ESPN: "Curt’s tweet was completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective. We made that point very strongly to Curt and have removed him from his current Little League assignment pending further consideration."
