"At first I kind of chuckled at the notion of, OK, would anyone take anything away from (the ceremony)," Forsberg said. "But within moments after it ended, Rob Williams is tweeting about motivation. If I'm Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown and I'm watching that, what is my takeaway beyond, 'Oh this is cool, I'm watching a Celtics legend get his number retired'?

Chin believes watching KG's celebration -- plus the Hall of Famer's unmatched intensity -- will have a lasting effect on Tatum and Brown.
"I think we saw it just with Jayson. He mentioned it going to All-Star weekend when they celebrated the 75th anniversary team," Chin said. "He said just being surrounded by those legends is a memory he will never forget, and I think that is an inspiration itself. ...
"The singular intensity in which KG just goes through his life but also once he's on the basketball court raising that to another level and seeing that depicted. I mean, his conversation with Scal, how animated he was telling those stories, going back into those moments and just how dialed in and focused and intense. ... I think that has to have an impact on anyone. I do think that will inspire them and just seeing that number raised to the rafters as well."
Also in the new episode: Chin shares what it was like at the TD Garden on Sunday, and she and Forsberg share their thoughts on all that the day meant. How important of a moment was KG and Ray Allen publicly ending their longstanding “beef”? Should Ray get his number retired next?
