First place in the Eastern Conference will be on the line Wednesday night in Philadelphia when the 76ers welcome the Celtics to the Wells Fargo Center.
Boston (8-4) enters the game percentage points ahead of the Bucks and Sixers (9-5) for first place in the East despite playing all but one game this season without its All-Star point guard, Kemba Walker, who finally made his 2020-21 season debut Sunday against the Knicks.
Unfortunately for the C's, Walker showed some rust in his first game of the season, only scoring nine points on 3-for-13 shooting (1-for-8 3-pt FG) in a 30-point loss to the Knicks Sunday afternoon.

Forsberg: 10 Celtics stats that jump out in the early going
While Walker and the Celtics hope that he'll fare better tonight against Philly, Boston will still be playing without Jayson Tatum as the emerging star continues to sit out after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this month. Though there's a chance Tatum makes his return Friday night when the Celtics and 76ers play again, Brad Stevens only put the odds of that at 50-50 earlier today.
Though Tatum will be sidelined, Philadelphia should get All-Star Joel Embiid back in the lineup. Thanks to a sore knee, Embiid sat out Saturday against Memphis and would've been out of action Sunday against the Thunder had that game been played. The Sixers have gone 9-2 with Embiid in the lineup and 0-3 without him this season.
