Celtics have no answer for LeBron in Game 6

CLEVELAND – Here are the Stars, Studs and Duds from Boston’s 109-99 Game 6 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

STAR

LeBron James: You can add one more iconic moment to the long and lengthy list of brilliant playoff performances for LeBron James. He had a near triple-double of 46 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.

STUDS

Terry Rozier: The critics who have said Terry Rozier can’t get it done on the road are getting quieter with each passing day, especially when Rozier has games like the one we saw on Friday night. He had a team-high 28 points on 10-for-16 shooting to go with seven assists.

George Hill: One of the best players for the Cavs at home at least, George Hill provided that No. 2 scoring threat the Cavs needed desperately in Game 6. He finished with 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting.

Jaylen Brown: There were a number of big shots Jaylen Brown was able to knock down for Boston, connecting on 11-for-18 shooting for 27 points.

Jeff Green: When Kevin Love (concussion testing) went out, it was Jeff Green who got the opportunity to step up and fill that void. Green had a solid game, scoring 14 points which was among the keys to Cleveland getting the win.

DUDS

Marcus Morris: The Celtics going with a two-man bench of the two Marcuses – Morris and Smart – has put a greater premium on them to do what they’ve done well this season. Morris has to make shots in order to be as impactful as Boston needs him to be, and that just did not happen enough in Game 6. He had 10 points but shot just 3-for-10 from the field and when he went to the free throw line he was 2-for-4.

J.R. Smith: After logging more than 38 minutes of court time, the Cavs certainly would have expected more offensive punch from Smith. He had just five points while missing five of his seven shot attempts.

Al Horford: This was another rough night on the road for Al Horford, who never could get into any kind of flow or rhythm shooting the ball. He would finish with just six points on 2-for-8 shooting, along with nine rebounds and four assists.
