Celtics schedule for Vegas Summer League revealed

The Boston Celtics are going to have an exciting summer league team. In fact, they may have a chance to compete for a summer league championship.

The Celtics drafted four players in the 2019 NBA Draft, and it seems likely that they will participate. Carson Edwards could be a big-time scoring point guard in this former. First-round picks Grant Williams and Romeo Langford will also get a chance to contribute in bigger roles while late second-round pick Tremont Waters will share time at point guard with Edwards.

If those four weren't already exciting enough, the Celtics reportedly signed Tacko Fall to an Exhibit 10 contract. Fall is a massive 7-foot-7 center who played at UCF. He helped the Golden Knights to almost dispatch Duke in the NCAA tournament and while he is raw, he has enormous potential because of his size.

With the anticipation building, we now know exactly when the Celtics are going to play in their summer league games. Per our own Chris Forsberg, these are the teams the Celtics are going to play in the "regular season" portion of the Vegas Summer League.

The Sixers notably have Matisse Thybulle, as Forsberg pointed out. Thybulle was traded by the Celtics to the 76ers on draft night, so he will get a chance to show the team what they're missing.

Elsewhere, the big names the C's will play include No. 2 overall pick Ja Morant (Memphis) and No. 5 pick Darius Garland (Cavs). The Denver Nuggets have a couple of intriguing young players coming off injuries in Michael Porter Jr. and Bol Bol. It's unclear if they will play but if they do, it will be a great test for Boston's rookies.

We'll soon see if the Celtics' rookies can demonstrate their upside and get their NBA careers off to a solid start.
