Gordon Hayward has officially changed shoe sponsors. He announced his deal with Anta, a Chinese-based sports product company who also represents former Celtics guard Rajon Rondo, ending his run with Nike.
Late in September, Hayward agreed to a four-year shoe deal with Anta, giving Nike 10 business days to match the offer. They didn't match the offer so now Hayward will be sporting plenty of new gear this season.
The deal includes a signature shoe planned for next fall. Hayward leaving Nike for Anta adds to the growing diversity of brands the Celtics will display this year.
Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum and Al Horford are notable Nike athletes, Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown wear Adidas, while Terry Rozier recently joined Puma.
