Jaylen Brown is in the midst of his best season as a member of the Boston Celtics, and his stats through the team's first 11 games of the 2020-21 NBA season have put him in some pretty impressive company.

Brown led the Celtics with 21 points and eight assists in a 124-97 blowout win over the Orlando Magic at TD Garden on Friday night.

The victory kept the C's atop the Eastern Conference standings with a 8-3 record, and it also extended their win streak to five games.

Brown is averaging a career-high 25.8 points, along with 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He's one of just seven players since 2000 with 280-plus points, 50-plus rebounds, 40-plus assists and a 52.5 percent or better field goal percentage through his team's first 11 games.

One of the reasons why the Celtics have started the season so strong is the leap Brown has made in his development. Not only is he scoring at a higher rate, his rebounding and playmaking have also seen quality improvement. His eight assists Friday night were a career-high, and it wouldn't be surprising if he has several more games this season with that many or more assists.

Brown and the Celtics will try to keep their win streak going when they host the New York Knicks at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
