What to Know

  • Jayson Tatum's buzzer-beater gave the Celtics their second OT win of the season.
  • The Celtics improve to 11-3, good for second place in the Eastern Conference.
  • Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 27 points. He played great defense all game, too.
  • Raptors center Jakob Poeltl scored a career-high 35 points. RJ Barrett tallied his first career triple-double with 25 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. Toronto had 72 points in the paint.
  • The Celtics will be back in action Tuesday against the 14-0 Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Cup.

It wasn't easy, but the Boston Celtics emerged victorious Saturday night thanks to a buzzer-beating 3-point shot by Jayson Tatum.

Tatum's heroics gave the Celtics a 126-123 win over the Toronto Raptors at TD Garden. The Celtics now have a 11-3 record in second place in the Eastern Conference.

The Raptors played really hard with a shorthanded roster on the second night of a back-to-back. Jakob Poeltl scored a career-high 35 points and RJ Barrett tallied his first career-triple double, but it wasn't enough for Toronto. The Raptors sit at the bottom of the NBA standings with a 2-12 record.
