The Boston Celtics cruised to a 123-99 win over the Detroit Pistons in their return to action Thursday night at TD Garden.
Payton Pritchard was the hero in Jayson Tatum's (knee) absence. The NBA's top bench scorer dropped a team-high 27 points (7-15 3-PT) with 10 assists for his first double-double of the campaign.
Derrick White added 23 points on 7-12 from 3-point range. Detroit shot just 7-for-37 (18.9 percent) from deep collectively.
Next, the C's will head to Washington D.C. to take on the lowly Wizards on Sunday.
