These stats show Celtics play Warriors better in Golden State than any NBA team

The Golden State Warriors are a very difficult team to beat on their home court, but not if you're the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics jumped all over the Warriors early in Wednesday night's game at Chase Center, opening up a 16-point halftime lead before ultimately winning 111-88

Boston's defense has been the league's best this season, based on defensive rating, and it again was a dominant factor in beating Golden State. The Warriors were held under 100 points for just the second time in their last 23 games.

The Celtics have enjoyed a pretty good amount of success over the last five or so years, including three trips to the Eastern Conference Finals. One of their most impressive accomplishments is playing so much better than any other team in Golden State.

98.5 The Sports Hub's Sean Grande posted some very interesting stats to Twitter on that subject:

The Celtics have been an average road team overall this season, earning a 18-16 record so far. They've been much better at TD Garden, where they own a 24-12 record.

Boston has won 26 of its last 35 games since Dec. 31. Getting to the 50-win mark felt unthinkable not too long ago, but at 42-18 and 12 games remaining in the regular season, it's actually a realistic target for the Celtics.

If the Celtics stay healthy entering the playoffs, it wouldn't be surprising if they won a couple rounds and challenged for the conference title.
