It's official: Brian Waters won't be returning to the Patriots in 2012.
According to NBC's Pro Football Talk, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported "the Patriots and Waters had discussed a potential deal throughout the season, but its a moot point now because Friday was the deadline for teams to take players off the reservedid not report list". The Patriots didn't remove Waters from the list, and now they can't.
