Cam Newton has yet to speak at an official press conference since becoming a New England Patriots player, but reporters did catch up with the quarterback for a brief moment Wednesday night.
NFL training camps are expected to begin around the league by the end of the month. Newton landed at Logan Airport in Boston on Wednesday night with the start of his Patriots career fast approaching.

Newton didn't reveal much at Logan, although he did say he was "ecstatic" to be with the Patriots, according to 7News Boston WHDH. The 31-year-old quarterback was asked when he would talk more about his arrival in New England, and he responded, "Who knows", before adding, "Go Pats."
NFL Network's Mike Giardi reported earlier Wednesday that, "Unless something unforeseen happens, the Patriots quarterbacks won't officially check in to Foxboro until Monday."
Newton recently signed a one-year contract reportedly worth up to $7.5 million with the Patriots. He is expected to compete with 2019 fourth-round draft pick Jarrett Stidham and veteran Brian Hoyer for the starting QB job.
The former league MVP missed most of the 2019 season with the Carolina Panthers due to injury. He played in the first two games before being sidelined for the remaining 14 matchups of the regular season. The Panthers released Newton in March after he spent the first nine years of his career in Carolina.
