Curran: Butler has been ‘outstanding' in camp

After making a name for himself as the hero of Super Bowl XLIX, cornerback Malcolm Butler has some big expectations heading into the 2015 season.

While many wonder if he can live up to those expectations with the departures of Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner, based on what he's seen thus far, Tom E. Curran has been impressed with the second year corner.

"Butler so far has been outstanding," explained Curran. "He did have confidence last year as a rookie, but he's much more demonstrative and vocal. You wouldn't feel comfortable doing that last year in the position he was in - undrafted, guys like Darrelle Revis ahead of him. But now he feels really good about what his play and competitiveness level is."
