ESPN's FPI gives Patriots really good chance to beat Chargers, reach AFC title game

The New England Patriots host the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday and will advance to their eighth consecutive AFC Championship Game if they win.

ESPN's Football Power Index likes the Patriots' odds to reach the AFC title game, so much so that the model gives New England a 65 percent chance of winning.

Here's a complete look at the latest FPI projections.

Oddsmakers pegged the Patriots as 5-point favorites when the spread for Sunday's matchup first came out. The latest spreads, as of early Monday afternoon, have the Patriots favored by four or 4.5 points.

If anyone can go into Gillette Stadium and hand the Patriots their first home loss of the season, it's the Chargers. The Chargers, including the playoffs, are 8-1 on the road this season, including an 8-0 mark when not playing in the Los Angeles area.

These stats make the Chargers an enticing bet -- either on the moneyline or the spread -- for fans looking to wager on the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
