Kicker is the least important position in fantasy football, but that doesn't mean it should be ignored.
A reliable, accurate kicker can be a valuable component of a winning fantasy team. Accuracy from long range, such as field goal attempts from 40-plus yards, is especially important because most fantasy leagues award more points to these kicks.

Which kickers should you target in your fantasy league's draft? Here are the top 10 kickers entering the 2020 NFL season.
Tier 1
1. Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens (Bye Week: 8)
There isn't a more reliable kicker than Tucker, who converted on 97 percent of his field goal and extra point attempts in 2019. He ranked second among all kickers in field goal percentage and third in overall points with 141. Tucker also made 11 of 12 field goal attempts from 40-plus yards out.

2. Greg Zuerlein, Dallas Cowboys (Bye Week: 10)
Zuerlein was a little more inaccurate than normal last season, but his fantasy value comes in his ability to convert long field goal attempts. He had made 15 field goals of 50-plus yards over the last three seasons, including a 5-for-7 mark in 2019. He's entering his first season with the Dallas Cowboys, who have a high-scoring offense that should present Zuerlein with plenty of chances to rack up points.
3. Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs (Bye Week: 10)
Butker also plays on a high-scoring team, and he led all kickers with 147 points last season. He also ranked No. 1 in field goals made with 34, and his accuracy on kicks 40-plus yards out also was impressive (16-for-19). Butker is a safe choice for fantasy owners.

4. Will Lutz, New Orleans Saints (Bye Week: 6)
Lutz set a career high with 32 made field goals in 2019, which was the third-most in the league. He also missed just one of his 49 extra point attempts. Lutz finished second in the league in points, too, and should earn another top-five position in scoring thanks to the Saints' loaded offense.
5. Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers (Bye Week: 11)
Gould had a difficult 2019 season headlined by injury (he missed three games). He connected on just 23 of his 31 field goal attempts, including an 0-for-4 mark from 50-plus yards out. Now that he's healthy, Gould again should be a reliable fantasy kicker who's among the most accurate in the league. (Just two years ago he led the league in field goal accuracy.)
Tier 2
6. Matt Gay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Bye Week: 13)
The Bucs weren't afraid to test Gay's leg in 2019 as he attempted 22 kicks from 40 yards and beyond. He converted 16 of them, and with Tom Brady's arrival in Tampa Bay as the team's new starting quarterback, the Bucs should be one of the league's highest-scoring teams. Gay is well-positioned for a breakout fantasy season. Don't be surprised if he makes 30 or more field goals for the first time.
7. Matt Prater, Detroit Lions (Bye Week: 5)
Prater is entering his 14th NFL season, and even though his field goals made have decreased in each of the last three years, he remains reliable from long range. Prater converted on six of nine field goal attempts from 40-plus yards out, and an impressive 7-for-8 mark on attempts of at least 50 yards. His powerful and accurate left from long distances makes him a good target for fantasy owners.
8. Zane Gonzalez, Arizona Cardinals (Bye Week: 8)
The Cardinals upgraded their offense in the offseason by acquiring elite wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a trade with the Houston Texans. More scoring would mean more fantasy opportunities for Gonzalez, who enjoyed a breakout season in 2019. He made the fourth-most field goals with 34, while also finishing in the top 10 in field goal percentage, extra point percentage and points scored.

9. Josh Lambo, Jacksonville Jaguars (Bye Week: 7)
The 2019 season was a disappointing one for many Jaguars players, but not Lambo. He had a phenomenal year with the second-most field goals made and a league-best 97.1 field goal accuracy. He also was accurate from long range and converted on 12 of 13 attempts from 40-plus yards. The Jaguars don't have an explosive offense and could have to settle for a lot of field goals in 2020, and given Lambo's accuracy last season's, he's earned the trust of fantasy owners.
10. Joey Slye, Carolina Panthers (Bye Week: 13)
Slye wasn't the most accurate kicker in 2019 -- 78.1 field goal percentage -- but the Panthers did let him kick from long range often. He attempted 22 field goals from 40-plus yards out, including an 8-for-11 mark from both 40 to 49 yards and 50-plus yards.
