Nothing impacts a player's fantasy football stock like a little change of scenery.
Just ask Mohamed Sanu, who after receiving a lifeline from New England on Tuesday morning is ditching the 1-6 Atlanta Falcons to join Tom Brady and the undefeated Patriots.
Sanu is available in nearly 50 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues, which begs the obvious question: How does his value change after switching offenses?
We tackle that question and more below, where we'll identify the best waiver wire pickups at each position for Week 8.
QUARTERBACK
Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans (owned in 5 percent of Yahoo! leagues): Wait -- Can you actually start a Titans quarterback this week? Tannehill isn't a slam-dunk, but his 312-yard, two-touchdown effort against the Los Angeles Chargers gives us hope that Tennessee is moving away from its dependence on the run game. Tannehill is a great streaming target against a leaky Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that's allowed 12 touchdown passes over the last four weeks.
New England Patriots

Other quarterbacks to target: Mason Rudolph (PIT), Kirk Cousins (MIN), Jacoby Brissett (IND)
RUNNING BACK
Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals (49 percent owned): This is your last chance to jump on the Edmonds bandwagon. The 23-year-old amassed 126 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries Sunday, making a definitive statement that he more than a capable David Johnson backup.
Even if Johnson is healthy, expect the kid to get a healthy number of touches going forward.
Other running backs to target: J.D. McKissic (DET), Mark Walton (MIA), Darrell Henderson (LAR)
WIDE RECEIVER
Mohamed Sanu, New England Patriots (57 percent owned): Sanu should be the third wide receiver in Tom Brady's pecking order behind Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon. If Gordon misses any more time with his knee and ankle injuries, Sanu becomes the No. 2. It may take the 30-year-old a game or two to get caught up to speed, but the Patriots didn't waste a second-round pick to have him sit on the bench.
Sanu should be a solid WR3 with WR2 potential by Week 11 at the latest (New England has a Week 10 bye) and is worth adding now if you have the roster spot.
Other wide receivers to target: Kenny Stills (HOU), Corey Davis (TEN), Diontae Johnson (PIT)
TIGHT END
Chris Herndon, New York Jets (29 percent owned): This is the definition of buying low. Herndon has yet to play a snap in 2019 and the Jets' offense was a disaster against the New England Patriots, but the Jacksonville Jaguars should offer much more resistance in Week 8. If Herndon can suit up, he's worth the pickup at a very thin position.
Other tight ends to target: Ricky Seals-Jones (CLE), Dallas Goedert (PHI)
DEFENSE
Indianapolis Colts (13 percent owned): Did you watch that Broncos-Chiefs game? Denver's offense is a hot mess, and the Colts have posted strong defensive showings in two consecutive games. They're a great streaming option this week.
Other defenses to target: Lions (vs. NYG), Seahawks (at ATL)
