Gasper: ‘Best for both sides to settle' Deflategate

Judge Richard Berman, who will be deciding whether to uphold or vacate the Tom Brady's four-game suspension, told the Brady camp and NFL to work on a settlement prior to the first of two conferences.

Should we expect a settlement by Wednesday? Chris Gasper thinks it's unlikely with the real deadline still on the horizon.

"You want to have more brinksmanship to try and get the best deal you can possibly get," explained Gasper. "You still have a little bit of a cushion here. I do think in the end it's best for both sides to settle because neither side might like the way Judge Berman conducts this in a part of it that's public and the other that's not in the robing room. It could be embarrassing to both the NFL, to Tom Brady and Roger Goodell."
