Howe: Brady has no intention of accepting suspension

Tom Brady may have been on the football field on Wednesday, but a lot of eyes were still on the courtroom.

Earlier today a report emerged saying the Patriots quarterback would be willing to take a settlement.

But Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald is hearing conflicting reports.

"As of right now, Tom Brady has no intention of taking any sort of suspension as part of a settlement deal," said Howe. "I don't know if things are going to change as they get closer to that deadline at the beginning of September. But as for now, Brady is watching Richard Berman treat the NFL, frankly, the way NFL has treated Tom Brady over the last six or seven months.

"The NFL is taking a beating. There is no point right now for Tom Brady to cave. He can kind of see how this plays out, get a couple more weeks under his belt and see if the tide continues to roll in his favor."
