Inside Tom Brady's massive Brookline home, now on sale for nearly $40M

You've probably heard the news by now: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, have put their Brookline, Mass., home on the market.*

We'll avoid speculation about what it all means -- Are they moving out of town? Does this mean Brady's retirement is near? -- and instead focus on this question: What are they giving up?

First, the bare-bones details: Brady and Bundchen won approval to purchase the lot from Pine Manor College in 2013 and invested $4.5 million in the Brookline property in 2014, shortly after selling their Los Angeles mansion to Dr. Dre for $40 million.

Construction on the home finished in 2015, and the result was five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and nearly 10,000 feet of floor space (9,716 feet, to be exact). It sits on nearly five acres of prime real estate that backs up to the uber-exclusive Brookline Country Club (of which Brady and Bundchen finally became members in 2017) and is a 30-minute drive (without traffic) to Gillette Stadium.

Now, for the fun stuff. Like those of most celebrities, Brady and Bundchen's home is loaded with luxury amenities.

You can view more photos of the sprawling pad on Zillow.com, but if you've seen Brady's recent Facebook Watch documentary, "Tom Vs Time," chances are you've gotten a pretty good glimpse into where Brady and Bundchen have raised their children -- sons Jack and Benjamin and daughter Vivian -- for the past five years.

As to where the couple will relocate next? They've reportedly been browsing in near Greenwich, Conn., and Alpine, N.J. Given that Brady just earned a pay raise, we'd imagine they shouldn't have any trouble finding a new mansion that fits their needs.

*(While Zillow.com has updated its listing to note the home is not for sale on its site, the property is listed for sale on Realtor.com.)
