The New England Patriots (2-6) stunned the AFC East rival New York Jets (2-6) by earning a 25-22 victory capped by a Rhamondre Stevenson rushing touchdown with just 22 seconds remaining.

Marring the upset win, however, was a head injury to rookie quarterback Drake Maye, who suffered a concussion on a helmet-to-helmet hit in the second quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
