What to Know

  • Chicago mustered just 142 total yards and went 1 for 14 on third downs.
  • The Patriots sacked No. 1 pick Caleb Williams a season-high nine times.
  • Drake Maye completed 15 of 25 passes for 184 yards with one touchdown pass and one interception.
  • The Patriots move to 3-7 after their first win in Chicago since 2018.

All eyes were on Drake Maye and Caleb Williams entering Sunday’s matchup between the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears. But it was the Patriots’ defense that stole the show.

New England held a dysfunctional Chicago offense to just 142 total net yards and three points en route to a 19-3 upset win at Soldier Field. Maye did his part by adding 209 total yards (184 passing, 25 rushing), but the Patriots’ run game was the story on offense, as Rhamondre Stevenson (74 yards on 20 carries) led a 145-yard effort on the ground.
