If you're hoping for a settlement by Wednesday's meeting between Tom Brady and the NFL, you better settle in for more.
According to a report from the Washington Post, a settlement is not expected.
“I don’t see much willingness to move toward a middle ground,” an unnamed source told the Washington Post.
“You never say never, I guess. [But] I don’t expect it,” said another anonymous source.
On Sports Tonight, Steve Buckley discussed Wednesday's meeting and compared the meetings to Major League Baseball's trade deadline.
"There's a reason why there's a flurry of trades on July 31st, because that's the deadline," explained Buckley. "So teams are inspired, they feel the pressure. As of Wednesday, we're not at the trade deadline yet. I hate to make that comparison, but there is no trade deadline Wednesday. So they can wait."
