Report: Josh Gordon could apply for reinstatement in May

As long as Josh Gordon continues to follow his treatment plan, the troubled wide receiver may soon be able to apply for reinstatement.

Gordon was suspended indefinitely in December for multiple drug policy violations. Since then, he has been receiving treatment in Gainesville, Fla. with some help from the Patriots, the NFL, and NFLPA.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported Thursday that while there's no set date for Gordon to apply for reinstatement, the NFLPA can begin laying the groundwork in May.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell talked before the Super Bowl about Gordon's situation, and didn't rule out a potential return for the 27-year-old.
