Rob Gronkowski defeated by Todd Gurley in Madden

The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Madden NFL video game recently.

Monday, the game's annual Super Bowl simulation predicted a 30-27 Patriots loss to the Rams. Then on Tuesday, Rob Gronkowski took on Rams running back Todd Gurley in a game and it did not go well. . .

What happened to the Pats offense, Gronk? Tom Brady turned in a pedestrian performance under Gronk's control, throwing for just 120 yards while completing 53.3 percent of his passes. Julian Edelman fared even worse, getting held without a single catch.

This isn't the first time Gronk has lost to his Super Bowl opponent in Madden. Last year the Patriots tight end was defeated by ex-teammate LeGarrette Blount.

Gronk will look to work on his Madden skills and come back strong next year... maybe.
