Tedy Bruschi sends ex-Patriot Rodney Harrison a Hall of Fame shout-out

Rodney Harrison joined the Patriots Hall of Fame this summer. Is his next stop Canton, Ohio?

The former New England Patriots safety will be honored for that accomplishment at halftime of Thursday night's game against the New York Giants and also is featured on the team's "Gameday" program.

Ex-Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi chimed in on Mike Reiss' tweet with a shout-out for his ex-teammate -- and suggested Harrison should have a gold jacket from the Pro Football Hall of Fame when all is said and done.

Harrison has been conspicuously critical of the Hall of Fame voters for snubbing members of the early 2000s Patriots dynasty. Prior to Ty Law's Hall of Fame induction this summer, Harrison accused the Hall of Fame of "lazy analysis" for assuming New England's success stemmed mostly from Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.

"It’s almost a form of discrimination," Harrison said at the time. "People don’t want to elevate us, or recognize, or acknowledge how great we are, because they’re such haters. Everywhere I go, people hate on the Patriots. So we don’t get credit."

Bruschi, a fellow Patriots Hall of Famer, hasn't gotten the call to Canton either, but believes Harrison has the résumé to make the cut.

Harrison's halftime ceremony could be one of the few highlights from what could be a lopsided Patriots-Giants game played in poor weather conditions.
