Turns out winning is good for your bottom line.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has witnessed six Super Bowl titles since purchasing the team in 1994. He's also made some considerable cash along the way.

Forbes published its annual ranking of the richest sports owners in the world Tuesday, and Kraft is 15th, with a net worth of $6.9 billion. That's a six percent increase from his 2019 net worth, per Forbes.

That's a pretty admirable standing for Kraft -- who also owns the New England Revolution -- considering many of the owners above him on the list made much of their fortunes elsewhere.

Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, for example, tops all owners with a whopping $52.7 billion net worth, much of which he earned as Microsoft's CEO.

Elsewhere in the top five are oil and gas magnate Mukesh Ambani (Mumbai Indians cricket team), luxury goods purveyor Francois Pinault (Stade Rennais FC) and Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz (Red Bull FC).

Kraft ranks sixth among NFL owners on this list, behind David Tepper (Carolina Panthers), Stan Kroenke (Los Angeles Rams), Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys), Shahid Khan (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Stephen Ross (Miami Dolphins).

Kraft has his own business empire outside the Patriots and Revs: He owns a successful paper and packaging company, International Forest Products, and founded the Kraft Group in 1998.

Still, the Patriots have been Kraft's crown jewel: The club is now worth $4.1 billion, per Forbes, after the Brookline, Mass., native bought the team for $172 million.

It's unclear whether the Patriots' success will continue without Tom Brady as their quarterback, but it looks like Kraft has a pretty large safety net.
