The Bruins selected center John Beecher with the 30th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft on Friday night.
Beecher, a 6-foot-3, 210-pounder, had 15 goals and 43 points for the US NTDP last season. The 18-year-old earned a bronze medal with Team USA at the 2019 U18 World Junior Championship, recording three goals and one assist in seven games. He earned a gold medal at the 2018 U17 World Hockey Championship, scoring one goal in six games.
Beecher committed to the University of Michigan for 2019-20.
