Haggerty's Morning Skate: Isles want out of Brooklyn?

Here are all the links from around the hockey world and what I’m reading, while giving a stick salute to NBC Sports for an excellent Hockey Day in America.

*Some rebuttals for a New York Post story that say the Islanders are already looking to get out of Brooklyn.

*NBC Sports gave salutes to Jerry York on his 1,000th college hockey coaching victory and Bowdoin coach Terry Meagher in his 33rd year coaching college hockey in Maine.

*Bruce Garrioch hopped on with Ottawa radio to talk the Maple Leafs trade and some of the other names on the market. Garrioch thinks the Bruins will end up holding onto Loui Eriksson. I don’t think they will, or should, if they can get a first round pick for him.

*The Northeastern hockey team is shaking off the dog days coming off the Beanpot at the beginning of the month.

*Larry Brooks says the Rangers need to decide whether Chris Kreider is a blue chip player or a trade chip at the deadline.

*An inspirational story from NBC Sports on Denna Laing returning to the ice for the first time since her spinal cord injury at the outdoor game in Foxboro.
