Brandon Carlo talks about returning to the ice after dealing with memory and vision issues following the head shot he took from Tom Wilson on March 5th

The Boston Bruins couldn't get anything going against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night at TD Garden.

After only getting two shots on goal in the first period, the B's offense was unable to gain any sort of momentum. Zach Aston-Reese scored the first goal of the game for the Pens, then Mike Matheson notched the insurance goal for Pittsburgh later in the second period. Brad Marchand scored midway through the third, but the Bruins weren't able to tie duplicate Tuesday night's comeback efforts as the Penguins quickly answered with a goal of their own.

NHL trade deadline: 10 players B's should pursue to upgrade roster

To make matters worse for Boston, defenseman Brandon Carlo was forced out of the game after the first period with an upper-body injury. It's currently unclear whether Carlo's injury is related to the concussion he suffered on March 5, when he was hit up high by Washington Capitals winger Tom Wilson.

Here's a recap of the B's loss:
