FOXBORO -- Monarcas Morelia got revenge on the New England Revolution, Wednesday night, and left Gillette Stadium as SuperLiga champions, thanks to a 2-1 win over the Revs that certainly didn't lack second-half drama.
After a scoreless first half, Morelia took a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals from forward Miguel Sabah in the 63rd and 75th minutes.
Sabah scored his first on a penalty kick, after Revs defender Darrius Barnes pulled down Sabah in the box. Twelve minutes later, Sabah added another, putting away a rocket from 25 yards out.
The Revolution cut the lead to 2-1 in the 79th minute, thanks to Kevin Alston's first career professional goal, but it wasn't enough.
